Little Falls Penguins Dive Team
Team Talk New Dive Coaches The '08 dive season is underway with two (2) wonderful coaches--John Schiavone and Nellie Stephenson. Before coming to LFSC, John Schiavone served two (2) years as dive coach at Calverton Swim Club and was a MCDL All-Star Diver. He also plays midfield in lacrosse as a junior at Loyola College. Nellie Stevenson is entering her senior year at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School. She dives competitively with both Visitation and Montgomery County Dive Club. Both coaches bring tremendous energy, skill, and spirt to our well. Our dive Penguins are already under their wing, having fun, and learning when a splash is good vs. when it's not. Try Dive, June 12-13 -- No Cost, No Obligation As you've probably seen over the years, the LFSC dive team has lots of fun while picking up new skills. If you/your child is eighteen (18-) years old or under and has considered joining the team but was unsure about it, now's a great time to take the plunge! Parents need to print/fill out a 2008 Diving Team Registration Form. Bring it with you to practice on Thursday, June 12 or Friday, June 13 to "try it out." If you choose to join the team, just bring a check (payable to Little Falls Swimming Club) to practice the next week! So come make a splash! Members and associate members of LFSC, any gender, eighteen (18-) years old or less, are welcome. The Team Breakfast, Beach Trip, and lots of other benefits become available as a diving Penguin.
