Social Calendar - 2008
Social Committee News: Summer officially kicks off at the pool with the first of the social events, the annual Memorial Day picnic. The turnout is usually large, with an estimated crowd of at least 250 people. Many thanks to all who help coordinate the event, and to all the families who bring such delicious complements to the main entree of burgers and hot dogs. Mark your calendars now for these upcoming social events: Adult Parties Mexican Fiesta - Saturday, June 28th 6:00 - 9:00pm. Cost: TBD Fajitas, frozen margarita set-ups, and cervesas!! Chesapeak Bay Fest - Saturday, July 26th 6:00 - 9:00pm. Cost: TBD Steamed crabs, steamed shrimp, chicken, corn on the cob...Note: 1. Ticket Purchase: Tickets may be purchased at the Swim Club Desk. 2. Checks: Please make them payable to "LFSC". 3. Timing: The last day for ticket sales for a particular event is four (4) days prior to the event. Absolutely NO tickets will be sold at the door for either event! (Therefore, thank you in advance for your early registration.) Family Events Memorial Day Picnic - Monday, May 26th (11am - 8:30pm) Floats are allowed in the pool from 12noon to 1pm with food served from 1-3. Families with last names A-P--bring a side dish or salad (to feed eight). Families with last names Q-Z--bring a dessert (to feed eight). Independence Day Party - Friday, July 4th (11am - 6pm) Always lots of fun, July 4th allows floats in the pool from 12noon to 1:00pm followed by games from 1-2pm. The picnic lunch (hot dogs, hamburgers, and your potluck) starts at around 1:30pm. Families with last names A-P--bring a side dish or salad. Families with last names Q-Z--bring a dessert. Labor Day Picnic - Monday, September 1st (11am - 9pm) With many of our children back to school before Labor Day, we can enjoy one last summer celebration before the school year really kicks into gear. Floats are allowed in the pool between 12noon to 1pm with food served from 1-3. Families with last names A-F--bring a dessert.
